Life with Parkinson’s is a two-person project, written and recorded by David Gebhart, who lives with Parkinson’s disease.
Because Parkinson’s limits my productive hours each day through fatigue, stiffness, and medication timing, I use AI tools to help me keep this site going. I am choosing to be open about that because honesty matters here.
How AI may be used
AI tools may help me:
- Draft and organize written content, which I then personally review, correct, and approve.
- Create illustrative images and diagrams that help explain symptoms and treatments.
- Structure long posts so they are easier to read.
What AI never does here
- AI does not write my medical information or my story. Every claim about symptoms, medication, or treatment is researched by me and tied to the cited sources on each page.
- AI-generated images are illustrations only. They are never presented as real medical scans, real photographs of people, or evidence.
- Nothing is published without my review. I read and approve every word before it goes live.
Why I’m telling you this
YouTube and Google require creators to disclose synthetic or altered content in certain cases. I’m choosing to disclose more than they ask for because this site is built on honesty.
If my own experience with this disease has taught me anything, it’s that people deserve the truth—including about how the content they’re reading came to be.
Have a question?
If you ever want to know whether a specific image or section of this site was AI-assisted, contact me and ask. I’ll tell you.
Let’s continue to take this journey together.
